It's all began in 1993. Being influenced by the Napalm Death, Cannibal
Corpse, Morbid Angel, Pungent Stench, Disharmonic Orchestra, Atrocity,

Hexen is an L.A. based metal
band that fuses the elements of Melody,
Heaviness, Speed, and Technicality within the lair of Thrash.

Now backed by a label; Old School Metal Records, the band will finally
showcase a compilation of
their best tracks onto the world s

realized that he not only wants to listen to that kind of music but
also has the urge to create and play it, which pushed him to buy his
first electric guitar. As time passed, his musical taste changed from
Iron Maiden, Zeppelin and Manowar to darker and heavier bands like
Emperor, Opeth, Mayhem, Katatonia etc. Gradually his guitar skills
increased too and also did increase his desire to have his own band,
until one day, in 2005, he got acquainted with Aleksander, yet another
extreme metal addict (Dark Funeral, Marduk, etc…) who knew how to
handle a gui

With the demise of Andre C. Avanessian's solo folk metal project and a one year hiatus, Andre got together with some friends to jam on one majestic night in July of 2006. Some days after, Andre had a detailed conversation with an old jamming partner and longtime friend Arin Zakarian. The two decided to mesh their musical talents together through the formation of a band, something both had desired for quite some time.
The Birth of Vishapakahr:
At first they started out rewriting some of Andre's old music but soon after, the band developed their own sound that was darker t ... Read more »
